Marion Toufet, designer and founder of Maison Toufet, has been working with manufacturing workshops around the world for over 10 years.
“I come from a family of shoemakers, you could say the craft chose me.”
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE TO CREATE MAISON TOUFET ? WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO DO SO, AND WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS FOR THE BRAND ?
“In 2015, I founded Maison Toufet, a Paris-based shoe brand defined by quality and fair pricing. I pay close attention to materials, shapes, and colors. For me, it was only natural to dive into this fabulous, demanding, and exciting world.”
We are a purpose-driven brand, guided by our values : quality, short distribution channels, and responsibility.
“My ambition is to offer women feminine yet timeless designs, beautiful and comfortable shoes, in which they feel confident and empowered.”

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO CREATE YOUR COLLECTIONS, AND HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE NAMES OF YOUR MODELS ?
“At Maison Toufet, our creations combine heritage and passion.
Our collections celebrate the modern woman: active, radiant and deeply committed.
Each model bears a first name as a tribute to the women who inspire us every day. These unique names add a personal and emotional touch to each piece.
Our vision goes beyond elegance and style: it is embodied in a quest for responsibility. We make it a point of honor to create sustainable and respectful fashion, where every detail reflects our commitment to the environment and future generations.
OUR PRIORITY: RESPONSIBLE FASHION
Maison Toufet is committed to designing shoes that are ethical, European and respectful of the environment.
From the very beginning, Maison Toufet chose to collaborate with a workshop nestled in the sunny hills south of Porto, Portugal. As Marion explains, the decision came naturally :
"Finding a partner who shares our values was essential. This workshop, with its exceptional expertise and environmental commitment, was an obvious choice."
In addition to its crafmanship, the workshop generates part of its energy from solar panels, thus reducing its carbon footprint.
WHAT MEASURES DOES MAISON TOUFET TAKE TO REDUCE ITS CARBON FOOTPRINT, AND HOW DO YOU RAISE AWARENESS AMONG YOUR CUSTOMERS ABOUT THESE ECO-RESPONSIBLE INITIATIVES?
“Limiting our environmental impact is an ongoing. Our collections are produced in small batches to avoid waste, and we favor pre-orders to meet our customers’ actual needs.Every detail is carefully thought : LWG-certified leathers that meet strict environmental standards, organic cotton laces, and partially recycled soles. Our packaging is made from recycled or FSC-certified materials.
Quality and comfort are at the heart of our designs, but this cannot be achieved at the expense of the planet. By selecting leathers from Italy, Portugal, and Spain, we reduce transportation while ensuring a process that complies with European standards.
HOW DO YOU INNOVATE IN MATERIAL CHOICES WHILE BALANCING ELEGANCE AND DURABILITY?
“Cowhide leather, robust and silk, or goat leather, fine and elegant, are meticulously selected to sublimate each model and offer unmatched comfort.Choosing responsible production is a daily challenge, this pursuit of balance between elegance and responsibility that makes our business so inspiring. Every decision, every detail reflects our vision of fashion that is both beautiful and sustainable.
At Maison Toufet, sustainability is not a constraint, but a source of inspiration guiding each of our creations.”
